In the pictures below you can see beautifully restored smiles when the periodontist and cosmetic dentists work in unison with one another. After cosmetic gum contouring was completed the teeth were restored with porcelain veneers or crowns. In our office this is a team approach with specialists handling each individual procedure; we call this comprehensive coordinated care.

The low smile line (the edges of the teeth) is just as important as the high smile line (the line where the tooth meets the gum). There must be harmony between right and left sides, there must be a balance as to the geometry of the tooth so that the final restoration (ie porcelain veneer) fits and looks as if Mother Nature placed it herself.
