The multidisciplinary team at 209 NYC Dental is proud to welcome skilled endodontist Dr. Chiyoon Ahn, DMD. Dr. Yoon brings his vast skill set and a continued drive for excellence to our practice. Through compassionate care, extensive knowledge and unwavering professionalism, Dr. Ahn is proud to offer his expertise in general dentistry and the latest advancements in root canal treatments to patients throughout Manhattan.
Dr. Yoon’s Background
Dr. Chiyoon Ahn began his extensive education in Vancouver, where he graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology. He then attended the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine. From there, he pursued his Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificate from the NYU Lutheran AEGD Program.
After realizing he felt a particular interest in endodontics, Dr. Yoon applied and was accepted to the prestigious NYU College of Dentistry, where he received his Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Endodontics.
Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Chiyoon Ahn has excelled in teaching as well as the practical application of his knowledge. He has also found time to participate in numerous community service ventures over the years, including musical therapy for geriatric patients and providing support services for low-income communities.
While his specialty is in endodontics, Dr. Yoon has extensive experience in an array of dental treatments and procedures, including:

- Simple and surgical extractions.
- Periodontal treatments.
- Restorative treatments, such as crowns, implants and dentures.
- Digital dentistry, including CAD/CAM (Cerec), digital radiography (CBCT), as well as Axium, Dentrix and Salud software.
